Accura was using a conjoined system, in which time-, finance- and case management activities were all grouped together in one of Denmarks one-suite law PMS systems. Traditionally, it has been used in parts of the industry, but failed to match Accura’s present need of a more detailed financial management tool, as well as the company’s focused strategy going forward. Accura is deeply committed to its core competencies in the domains of business law and legal counseling of group corporations, financial institutions and funds in dealing with company trades and property portfolios (M&A), as well as in offering other various specialized counseling services.
Wanting increased chargeability, efficient case administration and production principals for finance management, ACCURA went looking for best of breed solutions within ERP and time registration as well as case- and document management tasks.
Netcompany’s standard system GetOrganized was chosen as the best of breed system for case- and document management, tightly integrated with the elected ERP system from Deltek/Maconomy.
Through an implementation process, with the involvement from user representatives, the solution was set up around a client/case universe. An intuitive and easy-to-maneuver interface was established, providing overview and collecting all e-mails, documents and key figures in a single simple space.
The daily work of the attorneys is bound to thousands of e-mails that are easily saved on the correct cases in the solution, taken directly from Outlook, so that ingoing and outgoing communication can be seen in the context of a specific case. At the same time, GetOrganized offers the option of exchanging documents with external parties, while tracking and controlling the shifting versions of these throughout the back-and-forth process.
With a focus on efficient case administration and the sale of knowhow, governance of paradigms and templates is essential to the quality and control of the services that ACCURA deliver to its clients.
Hence, a paradigm module was also established – it collects best practices and tracks the use of templates and paradigms, so that when new versions of these appear, they are implemented correctly where they belong.
The final result – GetOrganized Legal – is a system that delivers the professional support and management tools needed to handle every case with great efficiency. Along with built-in document management, case specific e-mail archiving and task governance, the system also provides key figures and governance parameters.
The solution pulls central data on time consumption, project economy and client information from the ERP system, and presents it in a simple window. Additionally, time registration can also be done in a separate window, so that one does not have to enter the finance system in order to do so.
This way, GetOrganized Legal presents the most relevant information from the ERP system, alongside cases, e-mails and documents, granting the user an overview of all matters on a single screen.
